Last 20th of February we went to Daytona 500 miles. It was an amazing experience and something worth trying one year (if you are fan of NASCAR of course). I didn’t really know what to expect (as I wasn’t too fan of it), but I have to admit that it surprised me a lot. I totally loved it!
We went from Cocoa Beach by car which takes around 1hr and 10 mins and then arrived to Lot 7 parking which is free and then you can take a trolley which will take you to the circuit. If you are planning to go next year you might want to arrive early to save some time as it gets really packed already in the morning. The other parkings are very expensive and you have to book a place in advanced.
After taking the trolley to the circuit we spend some hours outside as they had some stands where you could buy goodies. There was also other merchandising stands where you could get some free goodies.
We were planning of going to the Fan zone (which was $35 more) but the day before when we where checking the tickets there were none left (so also book in advanced). We didn’t know and we thought we could buy them in the circuit but no.
Also, another recommendation take food with you from home. The queues are huge and the prices where insane.
In general, I really enjoyed the day and it was a great opportunity to see and live this experience. It’s something I recommend if you are hesitating for next year.
